IT Support Technician supports CMB’s growing team of approximately 60 employees (both on-site and remote) and provides end-user and infrastructure support, executes routine maintenance, and monitors network and systems. This position is 100% on-site at company headquarters in Dallas, TX. While core business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. CST, this role may require work outside of the normal business hours for maintenance of technology.

What does a typical day for IT Support Tech look like?

  • Maintain and manage new and existing users
    • Work directly with hiring managers for new users as employees are hired and with existing users for any related hardware or accessories, which includes assisting with installation and configuration of new computers and users, as necessary, and troubleshooting any potential problems that users may encounter.
  • Maintain technology inventory
    • Maintain and supply inventory, which includes, but not limited to cables, adapters, laptops, monitors, and PCs; report inventory to Vice President of IT and effectively collaborate with VP to ensure all inventory is maintained for technology.
  • ​​​​​Provide infrastructure support
    • Citrix and VMware environments, basic knowledge of AWS;
    • Networking knowledge such as switches and firewall appliance management, documenting systems;
    • Server software and hardware upgrades;
    • Research, learn, and evaluate new software; and
    • Primary and child domains.

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Polished professional who enjoys providing technical support while working with people from all walks of life!
  • Intermediate knowledge of Windows server administration including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented, task driven, and highly organized.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem solving abilities.
  • Self-starter with ability for continuous self-improvement and self-education on industry trends, company projects, and new partnerships.
  • Desire to work for a company with a “promote from within” culture.
  • Networking knowledge and/or bachelor's degree in information technology or related field, preferred.

Physical Requirements

Occasionally moving and transporting up to 50 pounds. Constant sedentary work for prolonged periods up to 100% of the time with frequent ascending, descending, or positioning self to maintain moving and transporting technology devices, wires, supplies, and equipment.  Must be able to constantly communicate and exchange accurate information. Must be able to detect, identify, inspect, troubleshoot, and assess issues or problems relevant to information technology desk support. Constantly operates and uses computer and other relevant equipment and office machinery. Constantly works around firearms, bladed weaponry, and valuable collectibles.
