The Senior Accountant is responsible for the overall day-to-day operations for the accounting activities of the company. This includes AP, AR, GL, partnership accounting, and reporting.

Senior Accountant works on-site in a professional office setting at the Rock Island, Illinois, location during standard hours of operation Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST. Eligibility for hybrid schedule with two (2) remote workdays per week requires 90 days’ employment, satisfactory work performance, and supervisory approval.

Salary for this position ranges from $115,000 - $135,000 based on knowledge and experience.

What does a typical day for Accountant look like?
The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Controller and works with senior team members to perform general accounting functions while using standard control protocols, ensuring compliance, and following internal policies, processes, and procedures. This professional can expect the following:

Assists in forecasting and strategic planning through financial data analysis.
Oversees or reviews the work of junior accountants or support staff.
Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
Maintains accurate financial records and ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded.

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting required
CPA certification required
Must have at least five to ten years of previous accounting work experience years
Previous Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) experience preferred
